Congress for the 100th anniversary of the trade union movement

Herman Wijffels (Chairman SER) and Lodewijk de Waal (Chairman of FNV) at the congress for the 100th anniversary of the trade union movement:

Wijffels: "Give employees more authority and responsibility. Authority motivates people to think about renewal and responsibility promotes commitment."

De Waal: "The lack of authority often affects people more than their wages. My experience in negotiations is that employers attribute more value to power than to money."
